San Diego City Tour with Sightseeing Tour of Tijuana - Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel and travel in an air conditioned coach for a sightseeing tour of San Diego with a visit to Tijuana in Mexico. A professional English-speaking driver/guide will be accompanying you for the entirety of the tour.

The city sightseeing tour takes you through the best of San Diego’s neighborhoods including:
Downtown: This is the vibrant commercial center of this modern metropolis.

The Gaslamp Quarter: The Gas Lamp Quarter is truly the heart of nightlife in San Diego and is its dining, entertainment and urban shopping district.

A drive through scenic Balboa Park, the nation's largest urban cultural park. Home to 15 major museums, renowned performing arts venues, beautiful gardens and the San Diego Zoo, the Park has unique exposition museum buildings.

A visit to colorful Old Town, affectionately known as “California’s birthplace”. Enjoy the chance to walk and explore on foot at your own pace. San Diego’s historic center is rich in Spanish heritage.

The Embarcadero: Enjoy some scenic harbor views at the Embarcadero. It is also home to several historic ships including one of the oldest merchant sailing ships in the world and the USS Midway, the longest serving US aircraft carrier in American naval history.

Cross the Bay on the Coronado Bridge to the charming island of Coronado where you will visit the historic Hotel Del Coronado.

Check out the seaside village of La Jolla, appropriately known as the “the Jewel of the Pacific”. This lovely community boasts a spectacular coastline, exceptional shopping, great restaurants, and many art galleries, all within a compact, highly walkable area. Here you will have the chance to walk on Seal Beach and take photographs.

After the San Diego section of the tour is complete, its time for the drive down the picturesque California Coast across the Mexican border to colourful, fascinating Tijuana Tijuana, the gateway to Baja California's gold coast is less than 30 minutes from downtown San Diego.

After crossing the border, the driving tour will pass many of Tijuana’s attractions including:

Avenue of the Heroes
Tijuana Cultural Center
The Oldest Jai Alai Palace in Mexico

You will then be dropped at Avenida Revolucion, where a large crafts bazaar and many shopping and dinning venues are clustered together. You will be at leisure to enjoy the bazaar, hunting for bargains on handicrafts, jewelry and souvenirs from all over Mexico and Central America. And don’t forget la comida y cerveza: sampling some of Mexico’s world famous food and drink in the cafes and bars in this bustling authentic setting is a great way to unwind.

At the end of the tour you will be dropped back at your hotel in San Diego.

U.S and Canadian Citizens: You must bring a government issued photo I.D and proof of citizenship or a passport for re-entry to the United States. Children, ages 18 and under only require a birth certificate.
