Entrance to the NY SKYRIDE is from the 33rd Street entrance (not the main 5th Avenue entrance). Enter the building at 33rd Street and turn left up the escalator.

The Empire State Building is located at 350 Fifth Avenue, New York. Please make sure you enter the Empire State Building through the 33rd Street entrance (not the main 5th Avenue entrance).

When you arrive to visit the Observatory and SKYRIDE, you will be directed to the security line and will then travel by escalator to the second floor. On the second floor, you must go to the ticket sales window (NY SKYRIDE Box Office) to exchange your voucher and receive your tickets both for the Observatory and the NY SKYRIDE.

If you decide to start with the Observatory you will experience unforgettable views on the 86th Floor of the Empire State Building. At 1,050 feet or 320 meters above the city's bustling streets, the Observatory offers breath-taking panoramas from within a temperature-controlled, glass-enclosed area or from the surrounding open-air promenade.

Enjoy stupendous vistas across the five boroughs of New York. To the north you can see the vast expanse of Central Park, to the south, Lower Manhattan, all the way to the Statue of Liberty. On a clear day visitors can see up to 130 kilometers, viewing the states of Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.

Your combo ticket also gives you the Fast Track program enabling you to bypass 75% of the Empire State Building Observatory waiting line at all times!

When you've seen the bustling City from high up, head for the NY SKYRIDE for one of the most exciting experiences in New York. Since it opened in 1994, the NY SKYRIDE has quickly become one of the City's ‘must-do’ attractions. It takes you on a high-definition IMAX-style adventure tour of the Big Apple narrated by actor Kevin Bacon. Seated on a specially designed platform in a motion-simulated, big screen theatre, you will have a New York sightseeing experience like no other.

The total presentation takes approximately 30 minutes. It starts with two pre-shows, which are dedicated to New York City, and a short safety video.

Then, you will begin your amazing ‘tour’. In 12 minutes, through the magic of flight simulation, you will ‘fly over’ over 30 famous New York landmarks without ever leaving the second floor of the Empire State Building. ‘Buzz’ the Brooklyn Bridge, ‘soar’ above the Statue of Liberty, ‘cruise’ through Central Park and ‘splash’ into the South Street Seaport. It’s a whole lot of fun.

The tour ends at the Empire State Building.

Everyone must go through the security check when entering the Empire State building. No glass or bottles are permitted to be taken to the Observatory. Cameras and camcorders are allowed but no tripods. Only carry-on size and style bags, suitcases, backpacks, duffel bags, luggage, etc., are permitted. There is no coat check, package, baggage check or holding area, so please do not attempt to bring non-carry-on style luggage to the Observatory.

The NY SKYRIDE experience takes place every ten minutes. The total experience takes approximately 30 minutes – this consists of 2 pre-shows, which are dedicated to New York City, a short safety video and then the simulator ride, which takes 12 minutes

When you arrive to visit the Observatory, you will be directed to the security line and then travel by escalator to the second floor. On the second floor, you must go to the ticket sales window (NY SKYRIDE Box Office) and exchange your voucher for a ticket.

Customers booking this combo package should exchange the voucher for both the observatory ticket and the NY SKYRIDE at the NY SKYRIDE Box Office.

The Empire State Building is open from 8:00am to 2:00am. The last elevator goes up at 1:15am.

Strollers are permitted in the elevators.

NY SKYRIDE opens at 8:00am and commences every 10 minutes. The total experience takes approximately 30 minutes.

People with a history of heart ailments, neck or back pain, motion sickness, fainting or dizzy spells should exercise caution.

Pregnant women should not ride the NY SKYRIDE.

Minimum height for the NY SKYRIDE is 36”.

Children may not sit in laps and must be able to sit in a seat by themselves. Children 5 and under free when accompanied by an adult.

NY SKYRIDE & OBSERVATORY Ticket allows guests to bypass a majority of the Empire State Building Observatory waiting line. Waiting lines for the Observatory can vary from 15 minutes to 3 hours depending on the season.
