The Chiang Mai region of Thailand is a must visit for the tourists coming to the country. The surrounding area is beautiful with verdant green forests, rivers and mountains. There are many interesting attractions and activity opportunities within a day’s journey from Chiang Mai city. You can visit traditional Northern Thai villages, beautiful, well-preserved natural parks, and historical temples. You can also participate in several well-organised, rewarding treks.

3 Day Adventure Trek, Elephant Ride, Hill Tribe Visit and Bamboo Rafting Adventure - Itinerary

Day 1:



You will be taken from your hotel in Chiang Mai in a pick-up truck for this tour. You will be accompanied by an English speaking guide.

Drive through steep hills and plains to the North of Chiang Mai. Stop at the Mae Malai local market. See the local vendors selling exotic fruits, vegetables, flowers and food.

Stop for a picnic lunch at the site of a picturesque waterfall.

Drive to a Shan village to meet the natives. Enjoy a 2 hour trek to a Karen Hill Tribe Village. Explore the village at leisure.

Enjoy dinner and stay the night at a traditional Karen house.

Day 2:

After breakfast, set out on a 3 hour long trek to an elephant camp. Ride through the tropical evergreen forests near the Karen Hill Tribe Village.

After lunch go for 1 - 1.5 hour elephant ride through the forest to Karen Hill Tribe Village Bann Pa Khaolam.

At night, have dinner and spend the night at the rafting camp.

Day 3:



After breakfast, enjoy a 1.5 - 2-hour bamboo rafting trip to a Lahu Hill Tribe Village. The Lahu people live in bamboo houses built on high stilts and thatched roofs. The women are skilled cloth and basket weavers.

The next stop is at a Karen village where you can stroll around and explore the vicinity. There will be a short break for lunch.

Enjoy an exciting 2 hour bamboo rafting cruise to a Shan village.

Drive back to Chiang Mai. At the end of the tour, you will be dropped off to your hotel at around 1730h (5:30pm).

Do's & Don'ts
Please bring Walking shoes, slippers or sandals, pants and T-shirt, sweater or jacket or sleeping bag (Oct – Feb), torch or flash light, raincoat, swimming suit, sun glasses, sun protection cream, mosquito or insect repellant, soap, towels and toiletry. Backpack can be provided on request.

A confirmation voucher for your activity will appear on your screen and a copy will be sent to your mailbox.

If your tour status is On Request we will not charge your card until we have been able to confirm your booking with our supplier.  If your tour status is bookable online, your card will be charged when you click confirm and pay.Please note that you don't have to pay anything at the destination.
What happens after you book
Please print the electronic voucher sent to you and give them to the operator on the day of the activity.

How to Cancel
